About eForecast

Founded in Ireland in 2022, eForecast is a climate technology company focused on developing software systems that optimise electrical power consumption in response to electricity system carbon intensity and renewable energy availability.

The company’s initial work focused on carbon intensity forecasting and demand optimisation, establishing the technical foundation for its current patent-pending adaptive carbon-aware control technology. This technology enables electrical loads to intelligently and automatically adjust their operation to align with lower-carbon electricity supply.

eForecast was recognised as the Irish national winner of the ClimateLaunchpad competition in 2022, validating the technical concept and its potential contribution to reducing emissions in electricity systems.

Following early technical development and pilot research, the company has focused on advancing its intellectual property and system architecture. In January 2026, eForecast filed a patent application covering systems and methods for adaptive carbon-aware control of electrical power consumption.
